Baby Monkey (3-4 years old) ...

Green Monkey Troop (4-5 years old) ...

Specially designed to engage young learners in the art of math, our Green Monkey troop will keep pre-schoolers active and give them a head start in number sense, reasoning and critical thinking.

Lemur Troop (6-7 years old) ................

This troop will be challenged to build their mathematical literacy using mental workouts designed to improve concentration. The children are shown the basics including number recognition, order and sequencing, greater than and less than, addition, subtraction, number skipping (an early base for multiplication), money, shapes, time, and properties of basic numbers in mental math.

Chimpanzee Troop (7-8 years old) .......

This troop will be challenged to think logically & critically using a carefully designed series of games and mental exercises. They will be learning to perform addition and subtraction mentally and will further learn to add and subtract larger number with ease. They will learn more about time and money and basic skills for providing change.

Gibbons Troop (8-9 years old) .............

This intermediate troop will be introduced to the many facets of multiplication with repeated addition, doubling, skip counting and nikhilam multiplication. They will also tackle more complex time and money questions and word problems. Vedic techniques are integrated in metric calculations and children are taught math skills needed for advanced mathematics.

Orangutan Troop (9-10 years old) ........

In this troop, children will focus on mental techniques for speed and accuracy. Orangutans are provided with a wonderful foundation for multiplication and division. Each child is led to understand the concept of multiplication inside and out using hands on tools and concepts. Then we provide our children with the Vedic short cuts that make multiplication of double digit numbers a breeze. Simple concepts of fractions will later be introduced, preparing them for more complex formulas later.

Baboon Troop (10-11 years old) ..........

This troop will be dealing with more advanced math and exploring more complicated math instructions. Children will learn techniques for extending their basic skills including mental techniques for speed and accuracy. Baboons learn to tackle multiplication and division problems mentally with ease. They also cover word problems and are led to build a strong foundation in the topic of fractions and divisions.

Gorilla Troop (11-12 years old) ............

This more experienced troops will continue to encounter the hands-on / minds-on activity based learning found at Math Monkey. More advanced multiplication and division methods enable students to continue honing the basic skills needed to succeed in intermediate and advanced mathematics. Vedic formulas are explored in depth.
